Staff from Manchester & District Housing Association, a member of Harvest Housing Group will be joining forces with other Housing Associations and Stockport Council to improve and enhance an area in Bridgehall with the addition of shrubs and other greenery.

The area of land due to be improved has been prepared by M&D Street Wardens who have cleared litter and debris from the site. The Wardens have also been working with a local resident who has enlisted the help of some young members of the community to work as junior rangers.

Neighbourhood Regeneration Officer for M&D, Jan Brown has contributed £200 of funding for shrubs and will invest a further £100 for hanging baskets.

Commenting on the event, Jan Brown said:

“This community event will bring everyone together in a constructive way and will hopefully make a real positive difference to the area. We work hard in partnership with others to ensure that our neighbourhoods are enhanced for
everyone to enjoy”.
