Oakwood Local Park in Birchwood will play host to a community event with a difference on Saturday 14 June when residents from the area come together to celebrate ‘Good Neighbour Day’.

The event, which is being organised by Frontis, a member of Harvest Housing Group, in partnership with the Friends of Oakwood Local Park, will be a fun-packed day featuring a free Hog Roast, Morris Dancers and family activities.

The theme of the event has been chosen as Robin Hood who is considered as one of the first ‘Good Neighbours’ and a fancy-dress option at the event is open to children attending the event!

Commenting on the event, Neighbourhood Regeneration Officer at Frontis, Bernadette Bell said:
“This event will be a fantastic occasion for people to come together and celebrate what being good neighbours is all about: Treating neighbours with respect, having a sense of community spirit and helping each other”.
