> Plans For Affordable Homes In Forsbrook
As the current ‘Credit Crunch’ continues to cause concern for many families looking for affordable homes across the region, welcome news has come from Moorlands Housing, a member of Harvest Housing Group this week as they commence the construction of a series of affordable homes, a scheme that is part of a substantial £6.2 million development program.
The scheme in Staffordshire will see the addition of four new 2-bedroom homes and two fully refurbished 2-bedroom properties on Cheadle Road in Forsbrook and will cost around £1 million to complete. Moorlands Housing have received £300,000 towards the development from The National Affordable Housing Programme, which is run by the Housing Corporation.
The addition of these homes in the area will benefit families looking for affordable properties to rent through a Housing supplier well known for its commitment to residents.
Commenting on the development program, Mike Johnson, Director at Moorlands Housing said:
“We are committed to providing affordable, quality homes across the region and as there are not enough properties of this kind at the moment we aim to help ease the shortage with the completion of this current project and also with our multi-million pound development program”.
