Harvest Housing Group is known for its commitment to providing affordable, high quality homes in neighbourhoods where people want to live and choose to stay throughout the North West and beyond. Figures released this week for the Harvest Incomes Collection Team demonstrate that these high standards are a group-wide priority.

The Group’s dedicated Incomes Collection Team has reduced the current rent arrears figures for the 4th consecutive year. At March 2008, they stood at 4.08%, and this has resulted in Harvest being in the top quartile within their chosen benchmarking group.

As part of the specialist team, Harvest also has two Collection Officers who deal solely with the pursuance of former tenant arrears; this team has again exceeded all expectations this year, collecting £464k; in excess of 60% of the former tenant arrears arising. This also, puts Harvest in the top quartile within their benchmarking group.

The Team’s efficiency and hard work enables the consistent provision of expert maintenance and repairs services and ensures that all Harvest properties are fitted with modern bathrooms, windows and kitchens. The Harvest Income Collection Team also offers help and support to any resident struggling to meet their rent payments.

Commenting on the recent figures, Harvest Housing Group’s Income and Charge Manager, Paul Warburton said:
“Thanks to the dedication of our Collections Team and the cooperation of residents, we have been able to assist people to sustain their tenancies, which in turn has assisted us to maximise our income. This obviously enables us to invest back into our communities and continue to sustain our high standard of housing.”
