> An Arty Window on Clayton le Moors
When: Monday 30th June 11am
Where: PK Printworks, Victor Street Clayton le Moors.
What: The official unveiling of the only public artwork on the streets of Clayton le Moors.
Further to the recent completion of a £350,000 face-lifting programme in Clayton le Moors by Hyndburn Borough Council to visually enhance the area, Clayton le Moors Neighbourhood Management delivered by Eaves Brook are due to reveal their own welcome addition to the improvements.
Local Councillors and representatives from the Neighbourhood Management Board will be attending the official unveiling of a ‘Static Vision’ of Clayton le Moors, a piece of artwork depicting past and present images of the town. The images will be positioned on the gable end of the premises of PK Print Services at the intersection of Victor Street and Queen Street, a position of the building, which has in the past been boarded up and unsightly.
Eaves Brook, a member of Harvest Housing Group approached Peter Kenyon of PK Print Services about the project, which met with a very positive reaction and along with local community artists ‘Wyrd Earth’ they set about designing and installing the artwork, soon to be revealed for the first time. This will provide an attractive visual focus for the town.
