Where: The site of the former Squires Public House, Wood Lane, Partington.
Manchester & District Housing Association, a member of Harvest Housing Group will celebrate the official commencement of the construction of seven two-bedroom bungalows on Wood Lane in Partington on Friday, heralding the start of a major new-build investment in Partington from the Housing Association.
The multi million pound investment project is being supported by M&D, and The Housing Corporation, with M&D having invested approximately £1.2 million into the project.
The new homes will be available to rent for people over 55 years of age and will see the regeneration of an important site, which has remained undeveloped for several years.
Overall, this work will represent an investment of £2.3 million by Manchester & District Housing Association. Of this, The Housing Corporation is investing £911,000 of grant funding into the regeneration of Partington.
Kate Forrester, Director of Manchester & District Housing Association, said:
“ We have further projects planned across Partington, which will include new homes for rent and for low cost sale. The majority of these projects are set to take place over the next five years. It’s a very busy and exciting time for Partington”
