Since the government introduced its strategy to develop sustainable solutions to anti-social behaviour, Frontis, a member of Harvest Housing Group, have employed an Intensive Family Support Worker to work with families and individuals within the Birchwood area of Warrington who are at risk from losing their tenancies due to varying degrees of anti-social behaviour.

The introduction of the Family Support Worker is a proactive measure taken by Frontis in partnership with Golden Gates Housing and is designed to prevent problems such as family breakdown as a result of anti social behaviour, help children and young people who are perceived to be out of control and ensure families are able to sustain a positive lifestyle free from ASB.

Jacqui Holmes, neighbourhood manager, .said:
“The Housing Quality Network has found that this support can benefit local communities and really help break the cycle of anti social behaviour. The Family Support worker will work with just seven families at one time to ensure that the support is tailored to the needs of our tenants and we look forward to working together to achieve positive results”.

The promotion of social inclusion will also be a priority for the FSW, increasing community stability by enabling families to live peacefully and to fully participate in their community and/or provide an alternative solution where other ASB interventions have failed.
