> M&D To Celebrate Cultural Diversity in Trafford
What: Multi-Cultural Celebration Day.
When: Friday 3 October, 12-4PM.
Where: Community Centre, Shrewsbury Street, Old Trafford.
On Friday 3 October Manchester & District Housing Association, a member of Harvest Housing Group, is hosting a multi cultural celebration.
A fun-packed afternoon for the family is on offer; activities include henna painting, face painting, jewellery making, Chinese dancers, a martial arts demo, music, prizes, food stalls… and much more!
‘Urban Gypsies’, who recently made their TV debut on the hit show ‘Britain’s Got Talent’, will treat crowds to a special performance, and hundreds are expected to gather.
The community event will provide local residents with the opportunity to meet with and discuss any issues with their neighbourhood service providers.
Commenting on the event, Lorna Powell, Neighbourhood Regeneration Officer for M&D said:
“This event is a fantastic occasion for people to come together and celebrate our multicultural community. It will be a wonderful day out for the whole family, and we hope to encourage unity and happiness amongst our residents.”
Staff from M&D will be on hand during the event to help with activites.
