> M&D Celebrate Cultural Diversity in Trafford
On Friday 3 October Manchester & District Housing Association, a member of Harvest Housing Group, hosted a multi-cultural celebration.
A fun-packed afternoon for the family was on offer. Activities included; henna painting, face painting, jewellery making, Chinese dancers, Traditional Irish dancers, a martial arts demonstration, music from local artists, prizes, food stalls… and much more!
The ‘Urban Gypsies’, who recently made their TV debut on the hit show ‘Britain’s Got Talent’, also treated crowds to a special performance.
The community event provided local residents with the opportunity to meet with and discuss any issues with their neighbourhood service providers.
Commenting at the event, Lorna Powell, Neighbourhood Regeneration Officer for M&D said:
“This event is a fantastic occasion for people to come together and celebrate our multicultural community. It is a wonderful day out for the whole family, and we hope to encourage unity and happiness amongst our residents.”
Staff from M&D were on hand during the event to help with activities.
