> Junior Wardens Prove They Are Wheelie Good At Offering Advice
What: Junior Wardens offer environmental advice to Crewe residents.
When: Saturday 18 October - 12pm-2pm.
Where: Mount Pleasant, Crewe.
A group of enthusiastic and conscientious youngsters from Crewe will be out and about in their neighbourhood on Saturday 18 October to offer free environmental advice to the residents of Mount Pleasant.
The event, which has been organised by the Crewe & Nantwich Borough Council Community Wardens, will see a group of Junior Neighbourhood Wardens providing residents with free wheelie bin filters, a wheelie bin numbering service and recycling information.
The Junior Neighbourhood Warden Scheme is organised by Manchester & District Housing Association, a member of Harvest Housing Group. The initiative was implemented to encourage young people to have an active involvement in their community and to help promote the positive work young people are involved with.
The Junior Wardens are a friendly, helpful and enthusiastic group of young people who are helping to make significant improvements in their neighbourhood, including building a sense of pride and ownership amongst the area’s younger residents.
The Mount Pleasant Junior Warden Event will take place on
Saturday 18 October from 12pm until 2pm.
