Manchester & District Housing Association (M&D) works with Local Authorities and residents to deliver neighbourhood services, affordable housing solutions and Private Finance Initiatives in Manchester, Greater Manchester and Cheshire.

Both Eaves Brook and Partington are part of M&D.

M&D provides the thirty year housing and neighbourhood management PFI contract to Grove Village Limited, and the Extra Care housing management PFI contract to Avantage across five sites in Cheshire.

M&D also owns and manages over 6,000 homes throughout Bury, Chester, Crewe, Nantwich, High Peak, Manchester, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford, Warrington and Wigan.

M&D is committed to the Harvest vision:

Vision

To do this M&D works with a local focus. Each neighbourhood team works with local residents to assess what is needed in each neighbourhood. It then decides how to achieve this. In some cases this means M&D doing the work itself, but in most cases it is about developing the right partnership to achieve the work.

In each area M&D works with Local Authorities, local resident groups like MADOCG - an Offerton Community Group, Credit Unions eg MINT in Tamesdie, Groundwork, local police and social enterprises like ‘Pushing an Elephant up the Stairs’ to deliver neighbourhood interventions that really make a difference to residents lives.

Residents taking the lead in their neighbourhood

Residents have a real say in issues affecting their neighbourhood. There is a three year initiative to improve the lives of local residents now and in the future.

Working with local grant provider, the Community Foundation for Greater Manchester, we are training a panel of local residents from local voluntary and community groups wanting support for local projects. M& has committed to invest £24,000 in this initiative.
