Grove Village have won:

• Best Regeneration Scheme of the Year at the Manchester Evening News Property Awards
The first housing Private Finance Initiative (PFI) project to reach contract signing, Grove Village Limited is the consortium delivering the scheme for Manchester City Council.
Partners include: Harvest Housing Group, MJ Gleeson Group and Nationwide Building Society.
Grove Village is a £100 million, 30 year housing regeneration programme that has already transformed a deprived inner-city Council estate in Ardwick, Manchester into a modern mixed-tenure urban village with an exciting future.
The project was the first Government-backed PFI scheme for social housing to reach contractual close. Since then, local residents and Ward Counsillors have celebrated the projects impact on the community. It combines housing refurbishment, clearance, new build, creative environmental work and strong community involvement with great success:
• A 4 – 6 year waiting list for rented homes
• Homes that now significantly exceed the Decent Homes Standard
• Increased value of Right to Buy properties from £20,000 to £90,000
• Complete redesign of the estate layout to reduce crime and improve the environment
• The sale of 60 new homes for £100,000 to £200,000, bringing new skilled residents with spending power in the area
• Significantly improved community security
• New community facilities where residents run the homework club, coffee mornings, credit union, silver surfers club and much more
• Retailers opening shops at the new village centre
• Over 20 new permanent local jobs
