Tackling nuisance and antisocial behaviour - We believe that everybody has a right to the peaceful enjoyment of their home, free from disturbance and intimidation. We will not tolerate antisocial behaviour and will do everything we reasonably can to tackle the issues whether the problems are caused by one of our tenants, their visitors or someone else.
We will investigate all reports that we receive with the sensitivity and in confidence. Where necessary we will take appropriate action with an aim to resolving the problems. We will work closely with the Police and other partner agencies to reduce the impact that bad behaviour has on our neighbourhoods and their communities. We encourage you to report criminal activity to both the Police and us so we can work together to make our communities safer and reduce crime.
Remember, the person causing problems does not need to be a tenant of Harvest Housing Group in order for us to take action against them. If we find it difficult to take action against them for any reason and they continue to cause problems, we will work together with a partner agency to bring the problems to an end.
We will support anyone reporting bad behaviour to us, and respect their wishes. Where there are problems we want to stand side by side with you to tackle unacceptable behaviour and restore peace and respect to our neighbourhoods. We have developed local initiatives and projects across the Group to support our neighbourhoods and communities, we will continue to do this with an aim to preventing antisocial behaviour occurring in the future.
What is antisocial behaviour?
Antisocial behaviour is bad behaviour that impacts on another individual or group of individuals, including our function and responsibilities as a landlord. We will always take an objective view of any behaviour that is reported to us.
