> Official Opening Ceremony to Mark Completion of Multi-Million Pound Housing Development
Where: Partington
When: Wednesday 22 April 2009, 10am
Where: Wood Lane, Partington (opposite Willow Road).
Manchester & District Housing Association are due to hold an official opening ceremony to mark the completion of a new development of homes in Partington on Wednesday 22 April.
The homes are situated on the site of the former Squires Public House in the town and are part of a multi million pound investment project being supported by Manchester & District Housing Association, a member of Harvest Housing Group and The Housing Corporation and has seen complete regeneration of the area.
The 7 new bungalows are available for people over the age of 55 and incorporate ‘lifetime home’ features, such as level access, wide hallways and ease of provision of future adaptations to enable them to grow and change with the needs of residents.
M&D have invested approximately £1.2 million in the project, that began in June 2008, and has not only resulted in a previously derelict piece of land being brought back into use, but will provide the area with a range of high quality homes for rent and affordable purchase.
Mrs Katy Patten, member of the Manchester & District Housing Association Board and Chair of Partington Housing Association Board, will officially open the bungalows that have been built by Rymac Construction.
