Dame Carol Black, National Director for Health and Work, will be visiting Cumbria on Tuesday July 7 2009 to speak about the positive links between health and work at the Employers Bridge Project event at the Greenhill Hotel in Wigton.
The Employers Bridge was developed by Derwent & Solway Housing Association, a member of Harvest Housing Group, and seeks to work directly with employers to help them understand the importance of managing mental health in the workplace. It aims to address the current issues around mental health in the workplace and the effect it has on the economy and will also work as a preventative measure to stop the issues employers face, and help them understand that the issues can be managed effectively.
The event will bring together key speakers and guests who will share vital information on health in the workplace and the ways in which employers can begin to manage the issues in a constructive manner.
