Birchwood Residents Invited To Make A Difference In Their Neighbourhood

Management at Frontis, a member of Harvest Housing Group, are currently inviting their residents living in Birchwood to join a new Resident’s Association, following the recent news that the Oakwood Neighbourhood Association has come to an end.

The Housing Association is keen to promote the value of resident’s associations after the many successful achievements of the people in Oakwood. Oakwood Residents Association organised regular resident fun days, Christmas trees for the neighbourhood and Summer Events Programmes at Warrington Wolves Rugby Club for young residents, with equipment bought thanks to a lottery grant.

Frontis want to help Birchwood residents set up their own association and have offered to give them a grant to get started. A meeting at Birchwood High School Community Room will take place on Thursday 1st October at 7pm to provide residents with further information.

Commenting on the event, Bernadette Bell, Neighbourhood Regeneration Officer for Frontis said:
“We are urging people to put this date in their diary as we feel strongly that a residents association is really important for the local community. It is such a shame that the Oakwood Association has now come to an end due to unforeseeable circumstances, as they had great success. Hopefully the legacy will continue with the next group of residents.”

Prior to the event, residents can contact Bernadette Bell at Frontis on
