Derwent & Solway Housing Association, a member of Harvest Housing Group, in conjunction with The West Cumbria Crime & Disorder Reduction Partnership (CDRP), will launch a groundbreaking website on Friday 23 October at the Energus Conference Centre in Workington.

The website, www.NotinMyHome.co.uk, will enable those experiencing or aware of domestic abuse to report incidents in a completely confidential environment on a specially encrypted reporting form and is the first of its kind in the country.

The launch of the Not in My Home domestic violence website project is taking place during Alcohol Awareness Week (19-23 October), when police will be working with local authorities, the health services, charities and local communities to raise awareness of the wider impact alcohol misuse can have on families, communities and individuals.

Present at the launch event on Friday 23 October will be representatives from Derwent & Solway Housing Association who have led and managed the Not In My Home initiative through Project ASIA, their digital inclusion programme. Also present will be representatives from West Cumbria CDRP, West Cumbria Police and Mr Tony Cunningham, MP for Workington, who has shown his support for the initiative.
