Harvest Housing Group has announced that its annual North West Communities Debate will take place at The City of Manchester Stadium on Monday 10 May.

The invitation only event will consider ‘The Business of Building Communities’ and will welcome a distinguished panel of the North West’s leading regeneration specialists who will debate the issues at the heart of sustainable neighbourhoods.

Leading the panel will be Sir Bob Kerslake, Chief Executive of the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA), the national housing and regeneration body for England. The event will be hosted by award winning journalist and broadcaster, John Stapleton.

Invitees have been pre-registering their questions for the panel ahead of the event that promises to be lively and thought provoking, with audience members encouraged to join in the ‘Question Time’ style debate.

Commenting on the event, Chief Executive of Harvest Housing Group, Ian Perry said:
“Previously we have held our North West Communities Debate in the autumn, however I believe the best time to hold this year’s event is just after the General Election on May 6th. We are all aware that important changes are likely to take place following the Election and these are sure to bring really spirited dialogue to proceedings”.

The Harvest Housing Group North West Communities Debate is now firmly established on the region’s events calendar and attracts an influential audience of key figures from Members of Parliament, local authorities and government agencies to developers, advisors, charities and community groups.

For those interested in attending the Debate, expressions of interest should be made to Jo Redmond by email: joanne.redmond@harvesthousing.org.uk. Please state your name, position and contact details.
