What you can do to help us to tackle Antisocial Behaviour
1. Discuss the problem
Often the best way of resolving disputes and misunderstandings is to talk with the people responsible and discuss the problem face to face as soon as possible. Explain what is upsetting you and your family. We encourage people to use tolerance and common sense to resolve neighbour issues, so try to see the other person’s point of view.
Try to resolve disputes with those responsible as early as you can so they don’t get worse. If you feel uneasy about speaking to your neighbour about their behaviour, or if your relationship with them has broken down, we can offer you the services of a professional mediator. Harvest is committed to mediation and in most cases this will be explored.
Mediation is where an independent person who is not involved with your case or our business listens to both sides of a disagreement or situation and helps each party come to an agreement. The mediation service is free to all Harvest tenants and those who are referred through Harvest. If you find the situation difficult or you have suffered previous incidents of abuse or threatening behaviour and are worried about talking to the person responsible, it is best to contact us so that we can help you.
2. Let us know
If you have tried to reason with the person or people responsible but have failed, please get in touch with us, in person, by phone or in writing. We will treat the information you give us, and your wishes with appropriate respect. If you wish to remain anonymous then simply let us know when you report the issue.
3. Agree an Action Plan
We will work with you to agree a plan of action, so that we can address the issues.
