Whether you overspent this Christmas or just want to save some money in 2012 but aren’t sure where to start, why not join Harvest Housing Group for a financial health check?

On the 30th January, Harvest Housing Group’s sheltered housing scheme, Lee Court, in Northenden will be holding a financial advice day, with representatives from the pension service and the company’s own Rent and Money advice team, who will be on hand to provide guidance to local residents. They will also be joined by members of the local credit union, police and fire services, who will all be available to give their expert advice to those who require it.

Attendees will be able to check that they are receiving all the benefits they are entitled to, receive help filling out any relevant forms, and take part in a budgeting workshop that will be running many times throughout the day. The experts will also be available to conduct utilities reviews, and people will be able to book ten minute slots with them for personal advice.

The event is open to anyone in the local area, and the day promises to provide plenty of money saving tips, as well as some fun in the form of quizzes, as well as plenty of refreshments.

If you you’re feeling the pinch and would like to attend, please contact Jo Harrington, Lee Court scheme manager, on 0161 998 8705.
