Neighbourhood Management is a process that enables local residents to have more influence over the way services are delivered in the area where they live and that encourages service providers to focus on the needs of neighbourhoods.
• It is about working with a wide range of service providers such as the Council, Police, Lancashire County Council and the Primary Care Trust to improve the quality of life for residents.
• It is a national initiative and currently there are over 300 schemes operational across the country
• Its primary aim is to support the regeneration of rundown and less well off areas.
In Hyndburn, Neighbourhood Management is delivered as part of the Area Councils section of Hyndburn Borough Council and operates as a partnership with Eaves Brook Housing and Accent Northwest.
