Blackburn Rovers Football Club is putting their support behind the ‘Hands Off Our Schools’ campaign, which is currently running throughout Hyndburn.

Local housing association, Eaves Brook, a member of Harvest Housing Group have joined forces with the Lancashire Constabulary to sponsor a design-a-poster competition taking place in fifteen schools across the area, and winners will be presented with their prize by Roar the Lion, the Blackburn Rovers’ Mascot.

The competition has been designed to promote awareness of and help prevent criminal damage to local schools.  The 6-11 year old entrants have been asked to create an A4 poster with the aim of stopping people damaging their school.

The winner of the competition, who will receive £100 worth of WH Smith vouchers plus £100 for their school and the two runners up, who will both receive £50 of vouchers and £100 for their school, will be awarded their prize by Roar the Lion and Eaves Brook Regional Regeneration Manager, Steve Glover, in a special presentation at Eaves Brook Offices in the Civic Buildings, Arthur Street, Clayton-le-Moors, Accrington on Wednesday 13th July at 6.30pm.
