Harvest Staff Think Pink for Breast Cancer
Harvest Housing Group have been doing their bit for charity by getting involved in the Breast Cancer Campaign’s ‘Wear It Pink’ day.
Staff at the Manchester-based housing group, who operate throughout the North West, donned pink wigs, shirts, ties and moustaches – some ladies even went the whole hog dressing head to toe in pink – to raise money for the charity, which goes towards funding research that looks at improving diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer.
All the staff (including the boys!!) at Harvest Housing Group’s head office in Levenshulme paid £2 for the privilege of ‘wearing it pink’ and raised £356 on the day, which will go towards the £1.6 million target that the Breast Cancer Campaign need to reach.
Lynda Murawski, Marketing Manager at Harvest Housing Group says:
“It was great to see everyone get so involved – one of our male members of staff even bought himself a bright fuscia shirt as he didn’t own anything pink and wanted to do his bit!! The Breast Cancer Campaign is such a worthy cause and we all had great fun raising the money.”
Harvest Housing Group regularly pull together to raise much-needed funds for many different charities and are currently organising a quiz night and charity auction on November 17th to benefit Hospice @ Home and The Safe Anchor Trust.
