Local housing association Frontis has teamed up with Warrington Wolves to deliver a week full of sporting activities for youngsters in Birchwood during February’s half term.

Young people aged 7 – 11 years are being invited to enrol for the multi-sports week, which will take place in the forthcoming half term, Monday 12 – Friday16 February.

Activities on offer will be run by the Warrington Wolves Foundation and will include touch-tag rugby, box fit, multi-skills, football, baseball and tri-golf and they’re all free of charge.

Places are limited however so anyone interested is encouraged to get in touch as soon as possible by calling Emma, Bernadette or Marie at the Frontis office on 01925 856 680.

The sessions will take place on the area of land next to the Nelson’s Quaterdeck Pub on Admirals Road, which is fast becoming a focal point for the Oakwood community.

Bernadette Bell from Frontis said:
“The land is right at the heart of the Oakwood neighbourhood and the more we can utilise it for the benefit of the community the better. We have lots of plans underway and I’m sure the sporting activities delivered by Warrington Wolves will be a lot of fun for everyone. It will be a great way to spend the school holidays!”

All youngsters who attend the February half term sports on offer will get an added treat by receiving tickets to see Warrington Wolves in a premiership game at the Haliwell stadium.

The activities are open to youngsters from the Birchwood area but children of Frontis tenants will be given priority in the event of over-subscription.
