> Moorlands Housing Officially Joins Harvest
Moorlands Housing officially became a member of Harvest Housing Group on 1 April 2007.
Harvest Housing Group, which currently manages 15,000 affordable high – quality homes across the North West, has been operational since 1963 (originally as Manchester & District), and will now take its experience to Moorlands` tenants in and around Staffordshire, whilst expanding their own portfolio.
Ian Perry, Chief Executive of Harvest Housing Group said;
“Moorlands will bring new opportunities to the Group. We have specialist skills and expertise but firmly believe in local delivery and accountability. Together, we have the potential to make a big impact in Staffordshire, South Cheshire, Derbyshire and the West Midlands.”
Moorlands Housing’s commitment to its customers and staff will not change and they will remain a registered social landlord managed by its own board of management.
Bob Duncalf, Moorland`s Chief Executive emphasised this by adding;
“Moorlands will remain a locally focussed organisation but will gain in strength from being part of Harvest. We will still have our own Board and Senior Management team, but will also be represented on the Group Board. As part of Harvest, we will be able to draw on Group resources to maximise on development opportunities in the Moorlands and surrounding districts.”
