Warrington based housing association, Frontis, who provide neighbourhood services and affordable housing solutions to its residents, have signed a ‘working together’ agreement with the Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service.

The union has been designed to improve the quality of life for Frontis residents and their communities. The agreement means that the two organisations will work closely together to address the Government’s wider agenda of preventing fires, social inclusion, neighbourhood renewal and crime reduction.

Commenting on the association, Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service’s Community Station Manager Kevin Massey said;

“ We are always looking for new ways to develop relationships with the wider community and are pleased to work with like minded organisations such as Frontis. Together we hope to achieve our ultimate goal in supporting and educating local residents about the prevention of fires.”

One of the core benefits for residents will be the complimentary home safety assessment to all Frontis homes. These will be carried out free of charge via the Cheshire Fire Service’s ‘Direct Engagement Programme,’ a structured plan targeting each and every Frontis home individually.

Bernadette Bell, Neighbourhood Regeneration Officer for Frontis Housing, added;

“ The welfare of our resident’s is always at the forefront of our minds. We are thrilled to be working alongside the Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service, and are confident it will prove to be a rewarding relationship for all concerned.”
