The Junior Neighbourhood Wardens will be busy helping to make Fairburn Avenue a tidier and cleaner place to live and play by taking part in a Pick N Skip on Saturday 6 October.
For two hours between 11am – 1pm the Junior Wardens, organised by Manchester & District Housing Association, a member of Harvest Housing Group, will be helping to clear litter that has been dropped in the street and gardens.
The skip will also be available for residents to tip their rubbish until 12noon, to help the whole neighbourhood clear any unwanted items, large or small.
The Junior Neighbourhood Warden Scheme is an M&D-led initiative to encourage young people to have an active involvement in their community and to promote the positive side of young people today. The Junior Wardens are a friendly, helpful and enthusiastic group of young people and are helping to make significant improvements in the neighbourhood including building a sense of pride and ownership amongst the area’s younger residents.
