Moorlands Housing Association, a member of Harvest Housing Group, has received an exceptional amount of praise following an inspection conducted by the Audit Commission in June.

The report commended Moorlands for many reasons; the principals being prompt customer service (including improvements to homes), positive movements towards tackling anti social behaviour, commitment to communities, meeting the Government’s decent homes standard, and a well developed approach to catering for the needs of vulnerable people.

The inspection applauded Moorlands for their future strategies, highlighting their “Effective money and people planning.” Bob Duncalf, Moorlands’ Chief Executive added;

“Joining Harvest Housing Group has enabled us to notably improve our services over the past six months. This has been reflected in the Audit Commission’s confidence that our services will continue to develop in the future. The inspection has been a positive step in our permanent journey of improvement.”

Moorlands Housing was established in 2001 for the stock transfer from Staffordshire Moorlands Council. In the last five years, Moorlands has made great progress in delivering its transfer promises and improving its 2,900 homes. Moorlands want to build on this success and maximise its future contribution to meeting housing needs and neighbourhood regeneration for local communities in Staffordshire and surrounding areas.
