Staff at Harvest Housing Group have done it again! The Group’s legendary annual Charity Quiz Night has once again raised thousands of pounds for charity and they will be presenting a cheque for £3,500 to Guide Dogs for the Blind tomorrow at 12noon, at their head office in Levensulme.
It is hoped that this early Christmas gift will help Guide Dogs for the Blind with their research into eye disease research and in providing mobility and freedom to blind and partially sighted people. And the team plan to raise more for the charity throughout the year to hit their £5,000 target to enable them to sponsor their very own guide dog
Over the past 11 years Harvest Housing Group are proud to have raised over £31,000 for numerous charities across the North West and this year the money will help Guide Dogs for the Blind and Manchester-based Christies Hospital.
Lynda Murawski, Head of Marketing at Harvest Housing Group said:
“There are so many wonderful causes and we try and to support as many as possible, particularly in areas we operate. Very often we come across tenants who are aided by these charities and it’s important we do our bit to help.”
The money raised by staff at Harvest Housing Group is being shared equally between Guide Dogs for the Blind and Christie Hospital in Withington.
Christie’s is one of the largest cancer treatment centres in London caring for more than 3.2million people in Greater Manchester & Cheshire.
Harvest Housing Group provides affordable housing across the North West including Greater Manchester, Warrington, Cheshire, East Lancashire and West Cumbria.
