> Frontis’ Gardening Gift for Community
Local housing association Frontis, a member of Harvest Housing Group, has donated £1200 to Birchwood Town Council for landscaping equipment to help with the maintenance of the local area.
The Town Council are inundated with requests to clear footpaths and cut back overgrown shrubbery in the surrounding neighbourhoods and so need more tools to help them meet the needs of local residents.
The donation made by Frontis will go towards the purchase of a set of long reach hedge-trimmers and a set of high-level pruners.
Bernadette Bell from Frontis said:
“It is important we continue to support the council in their work and the upkeep of the area is an invaluable part of improving community safety within Birchwood.”
The donation from Frontis will mean that the requests from local residents can be carried out more quickly and efficiently with the new and improved tools.
